I find it hilarious that white people (generally white straight boys) get so pissy about POC dressing up as Cap/wearing his emblems. Like Sam Wilson has taken up the mantle twice now, not to mention America Chavez from the Young Avengers. It is literally canon that anyone can wear that symbol so long as they stand for Cap’s ideals, so that argument doesn’t hold water- and anyone who gets pissy about POC rocking Cap’s uniform/colours just needs to accept that they’re a racist whiny pissbaby and Steve Rogers would be ashamed of them.
This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all week and I would sign that petition in a heartbeat.

Actually I get over 500 messages a week about I’m a sand n*gger rag head but I find this a perfect example how people tend to see “everything is just so unhateful!!!” And love it and fail to see there are shitty people out there.
I am thankful for all the support I get but, this post has negatively hurt me in terms of looking through hate mail just to find a none hateful comment.
People aren’t afraid to love loudly on this website, hate, well, is another story.I actually really like this look on you, the colors are even complementary to your complexion.
The fear from those who hate this idea however must be kept to the shadows because bringing it to light would make the ones making the comments hurt and realize that they are really are beyond what it means to be Captain America.

there’s a lot of unspoken pressure to keep liking the things you used to like and to keep dressing the way you’ve always dressed and to never question what you believe in and basically “be yourself” has slowly morphed into “be what everyone knows you as” but trust me when i say if you just give it up and simply make decisions and take actions based purely on what would make you happy, you’ll gain a very comforting sense of self peace
